Bow Hunting with the Yamaha Whitetail Diaries Crew + Video

Dec 14, 2017 - 1:00 PM - by VS_Goose

I visited the Whitetail Diaries Ranch in southwest Texas for a bow hunting and off-roading adventure as we chased for big bucks and drove Yamaha UTVs.

Three years ago an invitation to visit the Yamaha Whitetail Diaries camp in southwest Texas resulted in my first ever bow hunting experience and a freezer full of organic goodness. It is an experience I wrote about here and one I think back on often. As luck would have it, I was invited back again this year and didnít hesitate to accept.

A lot has changed in the three years between these experiences. I was still fairly new to archery at the time of my first hunt, but Iíve now got 4.5 years of archery experience under my belt. And this doesnít mean a rare trip to the range to practice. I shoot 300 to 400 arrows every week and am now in charge of bow reviews for the ArcheryTalk YouTube channel.

Glamis Black Bag Project Launches Initiative to Preserve the Dunes

Nov 29, 2017 - 12:29 PM - by VS_Goose

Is "pack it in, pack it out" too much to ask?

Venture to almost any public riding area immediately after a holiday weekend and youíre likely to find piles of trash, water bottles and empty beer cans left behind. In high trafficked areas like Glamis, California, the amount of refuse left behind is disturbing. While this behavior is detestable and no doubt a significant factor in the closing of popular riding areas, a group of Glamis regulars have launched the Glamis Black Bag Project as a way to encourage people to practice good stewardship of the dunes and take their garbage with them.

How To Choose an ATV Helmet

Oct 31, 2017 - 12:34 PM - by VS_Goose

With so many options available, figuring out how to choose an ATV helmet can be tricky. Fortunately, weíve got some thoughts to help you decide on the right ATV helmet for you.

Whether you call it a skid lid, a brain bucket or a hard hat, an ATV helmet is one of the most important pieces of safety gear you should own. The only thing that should come before it is common sense, which would tell you to wear a helmet. If you want to know how to choose an ATV helmet, is really pretty easy as long as you know the basics of what to look for.
