Hey guys I'm thinking about getting a set of 28-10-12 & 28-12-12 zillas and putting them on my stock wheels. I don't have a lift on my viking and I'm wondering if I'll have any rubbing or fitment issues with this set up? Also, I don't plan on doing any clutch work(sheave, slugs, etc) so will I be ok on the power and reliability front?

You won't rub or have much power lost, you may not even really notice it unless your constantly flooring it from a stop. However, are you mailny on the trail or do you plan on trying to get through big mud holes? I had Zillas ordered from 2 places online and they were out, thankfully. I started watching videos on Zillas and was not impressed with their mud performance. I do have to say they are the lightest trail/mud tire and will NOT impact your performance on the low end like other 28s will. I ended going with the 30 inch Monster Mayhems (Midweight Tire) since they are agressive in the mud but can still handle well on the trail, if I was going to go 28s I would've purchased the 28 inch mega mayhems, they are SEXY with a busier pattern and ride smoother than the Monsters on the trail, also they come in a wider size.

How long have you had your Viking? I was in the same mindset when I bought mine, I was dead set on getting 28 inch Zillas so I didn't have to do the clutch work but here I am less than 2 weeks later with 30inch Monster Mayhems and a JBS clutch kit on the way!

I mainly trail ride and use my viking for working around deer camp and my friends' farm. I'll only do the occasional mudding and don't plan on hitting a lot of real nasty mud. The majority of the mud I'll see will be in rice fields, creek crossings, and random mud holes on the trails. I'll do a mix of riding on hard/rocky trails in the mountains of West Arkansas and soft/slick ground in the delta of east Arkansas.

I've owned my Viking for 5 days. Lol. She's got 2.2 hours and 11 miles on her.

From the sound sof it the Zillas will work great for you! You aren't too far from me, I'm in Texarkana, TX. I bought my Viking about 3 weeks ago and didn't expect to put all these mods on it, here I am on the Forums everyday dropping mad bread on my bike.

Ctown, haave you thought about 28in. Interco swamp lites? Sounds like they would be the perfect tire for you and i hear some good reviews on them.

I've had the swamp lites on my big bear and I want to try something different. They're ok tires but the zillas weigh 10 lbs less per tire. Thanks for the suggestion!

For what it's worth I'd buy the Zillas again.

Well you know I couldn't just be content with putting the Zillas on the stock wheels so I went and bought a wheel & tire combo that includes STI HD4 wheels. I really wanted to go no wider in the front than 9" and they don't offer the zilla in 28x9x12 so I went ahead and got a set of wheels too. Here's what I'll have coming in:

28x9x14 Fronts
28x11x14 Rears
14" STI HD4 Gloss Black wheels

I'll post some pictures when they come in and I get them mounted. Can't wait!

Can I run a 28x12x12 zilla in all 4 corners on stock wheels with no mods?
I'm not sure what the width of the front rims are. They may be too narrow for such a wide tire. I have 28x10x12 front and 28x12x12 rear Zillas on 5+2 wheels. I have only 3/4 inches of clearance at full turn on the front.

Nope. You will need to find it on the net or measure. I know front and back are different though.
