52" Light Bar

Ok, I have found a 52" light bar for my viking and it will fit between the bars. However no mounts that come with it will not work for this application. has anyone found a place to get mounting brackets in between the bars and make it work. Really good deal on the light as a buddy brought a 50" version for his jeep and it works great. Would really like to see a 52" on a viking so any place to find some way to mount it would be nice. I have thought about mounting to the roof but the light is not exactly lite to pulled down constantly on the plastic.

Is the bar curved or straight? I guess the what we would need to see is the bar held up in the approximate location with pics from every angle you could. With that, I'm sure someone will be able to come up with an idea

It is the Straight bar. I would say there is about 1/2 on either side too. With the bar held up you can basically slide your hand between both sides if that helps.

If that's all the room you got, then JSprinkle is right on! The top cross bar is curved at the ends making the A pillar a better mounting place
Ok so here are some pictures of my mounting adapters (that came with the LED bar) to go to the pillar bar. The holes are almost right in line with the bar but just to the inside when centered. It has be suggested I get a clamp mount like used to secure the half windshield but I don't know if I will be able to maintain a solid mount surface with it. Second question is does anyone know the actual output of the charging system. This light is 300W and not sure of the actual capacity of the system.

Yep, that bracket the JS posted looks like it would work
So the light bar is on and works, Just noticed that one LED is not working now. But It was at first, well for now I keep an eye and see what happens but at least it is installed and works.

Check out the LED Light Bar Install thread. http://www.vikingforum.net/forum/6-viking-general-discussion/1098-led-light-bar-install.html

Diver,

Do you have a link to the exact clamp mounts you used for the light bar? I would like to mount an LED bar with the same method.

Joe
Nguyenbio,

They are the Rigid Industries Led Lighting 2" Adjustable Clamp 42020. One thing to note I was not able to use the bolts that came with the brackets for the light bar. I had to come up with longer ones and washers. Also have to drill the hole slightly larger on the clamp side as the bolts will not go thru. At least on for this particular light bar.
Green Machine I was curious what light bar you put on. I looked through some of your threads and couldn't find it. Do you know if the install will work with the viking half windshield with the extendable brackets you have, or do you know of one that will?

Thanks for all your awesome posts, I'm fairly new to this forum, it's been awesome site to learn on.

Take care
