So my questions is Aluminum Vs Steel Rims? Why go to aluminum? Are there any gains to getting aluminum? Which is stronger? Why get larger diameter rims vs stock? Or am I just over thinking this and they are mostly just to look good?

From what ive gathered over the years, the steel is stronger, aftermarket is mostly for looks. Going 14" over 12", from what ive read, makes it more stable in turns, etc.

I've got 14" inch steel wheels on my viking and I can tell that it handles better than the stock wheels.

If you are pounding over rocks most of the time, get steel rims. But steel wheels can get rust so powder coating them is a good idea.
