Hey all. Just bought new wheels. And yes I know about the center caps being too shallow. So my question is who makes a center cap that is deep enough? And are they inter-changeable from wheel to wheel? I believe I saw that ITP is making them but can't seem to find it....

Thanks,
Mitch

Center caps are not interchangeable. You need the right ones for the wheels you bought. If you bought the wheels new then the dealer should have included the right center caps.

Exactly what wheels did you buy?

Wow....any manufacturer that has not addressed the Viking cap issues by now has not been paying attention. This is OOOOOLD news and very common knowledge. When I bought my ITP's they sent me some STI caps to get me by and they fit perfect. Don't know what else will fit yours but some are interchangeable...Good luck!

I bought spare ITP centercaps on Amazon that fit my ITP Delta wheels. 4 for under $20.

Could you measure the outside diameter of yours? And if they'll fit That's what I'll do.
3 5/16" is the outside diameter of the flange.

Well I have a solution. The dealer, is in my opinion, going above and beyond here. They found another wheel that will work and are shipping 4 to me as soon as I send the first ones back. These new wheels are higher priced but they are calling it even. They are also paying for shipping, and reimbursing me for the mount/dismount of the tires. Pretty good customer service. Since they are a vender here I'll name them...... Way to go Discount Tire!

Ok I got my new rims.... They are the Vision 550s. The center caps are deep enough. I do however have a couple questions.... first the center caps cover the lug nuts, the design of the caps is a metel ring that fits into 5 tabs and pushes the tabs into a groove on the rim. How would I get the caps off with the wheel mounted to the hub? Second these are 4+3 offset. Will they stick out 1" more than the 5+2?
Thanks
Mitch

I got the tires mounted and back in business..... The question of getting the center caps off after the were mounted on the Viking was answered, Vision sends a tool to remove them, out of the 4 boxes there was 2 tools. And as far as the 4+3 sticking out... well I can't really see it but they are supposed to stick out the 1". Hope this will hlp somebody else. The hub sticks out 2.25" from wheel mounting surface.
