I have been viewing this forum for almost a year now, and have seen about every video on the Viking. I have test driven a few, but its about time to make a purchase. The dash shake bothers me, probably more than it should! I love the Viking, but the dash shake might possibly keep me from buying the Viking. I would like some opinions and ask did this affect your thoughts on the Viking, does the shake go away, get less, etc. Please let me know. I think beside that, it is a great machine,

I was an original owner of a first year Rhino......2004 model, serial number 224.

It had it's quirks, but was and is still bulletproof.

I bought a2008 Ranger XP for the added room. I liked it, but hated the clutch/belt system, and the AWD system sucks. I just sold it, and bout the 2015 Viking because I know how much better they are engineered.

At our camp, we have Pioneers, Big Reds, Rhinos, Kymco's, Vikings, 4 wheelers out the wazoo, Can Ams, RZR's, Rangers, Mules, Teryx's........and I have about 40 years experience with ATV's and now, UTV's

My first ride was a Honda ATC 90, and I've owned them all at some point. You spend your money wherever YOU feel best suited, and I love a Honda, but the Yamaha beats them all for reliability, engineering, comfort, etc.

They won't run like some of the "souped-up" sport models, but you won't have to work on it every week after riding it hard on a weekend.

Just my humble $.02 opinion.

Good luck!!!

When I started mine up to drive out of the dealer's shop I asked them about the shake. I had read it had a shake but this was something else! I haven't drove it much since I got it home (too cold) but I haven't noticed it since, likely because I'm never idling! Can't wait for it to warm up so I can try it again.

Mine used to shake quite a bit at idle.

I'm sitting at 200 or so miles now and hardly notice it now. It shakes but very little. I'm assuming as I break it in a little more, the rattle will die down even more. I know it can be annoying but honestly, don't let that detour you from a Viking. It really is a great machine.

Same here. Mine shook too and everyone said it would go away and it did. I have 450 miles on mine. If it does shake a little i dont notice it. Besides,it goes away when you give it gas and i dont sit still for long. Get in, turn it on, put in gear and smash the pedal :)

I've owned mine for two weeks now, I haven't noticed any dash shake because i'm usually looking out the front and having fun.
Just keep in mind that it isn't an F-16 fighter jet or a hand built Rolls. LOL
