Hi all. I'm in the market for my first Viking, and I'm still contemplating whether to get the one with or without eps... Yes it saves a grand if I don't get it, but I don't want to need it and not have it. Kind of like a gun haha. Any input would be appreciated! Is it really worth it?

I got the non-EPS model, then eneded up getting the Super ATV EPS kit, saved about 410 dollars going that way, it wasn't to bad for me to steer around, by when my mom drives it or my sister comes over to visit, it was hard for the them. If you've got the money, id go ahead and get the EPS model, then again, if you wont have anybody driving it, that may need the extra steering help, you may not need it.

Agreed, if you got the money, GO FOR EPS, its something you sure wouldn't regret, if you dont get it, you may.

After seeing how well my buddies 4 wheeler steered and handled rough trails with power steering compared to my non eps I would never own one without. I've been hauling dirt with the viking the last week and it steers super easy even when driving around yard at slow speeds. I'm as cheap
As it comes on extras and when it came to eps it was not even a question to have it. I figure if I ever sell it the resale value will be much better.

I'm glad I went with the EPS, it makes a heck of a difference when you are in situations where you are in full axle lock with tight maneuvering, and inches count, you will never regret having it, I almost went without the eps because of the $1000 differance, changed my mind at the last minute, and boy am I ever happy.

Hi have the Non EPS Viking and base on how mine steers the EPS is not worth the extra grand It steers better then my old Rhino. Sometimes it feels like I have the EPS but it;s not there. Any how drive both and then you will know.

I have the front 2 inch receiver on my camo eps with a winch and I use it all the time to move trailers around and would have never been able to steer the unit with out the eps.
if you also have a heavy load in the cargo bed it is way easier to steer the eps units.
I test drove both and the eps was so much better at slow speed that I don't know why it is even a option.
When was the last time you drove a car with out power steering?
The dealer that I bought mine from the eps unit was only 500 more than the non eps and he said after the initial release he would not be ordering any more non eps vikings.

I saved about 500 bucks by not getting the EPS Viking, and later on installing hte Super ATV kit, and its worked out great, it wasn't to hard to steer without it, but its alot better with EPS. My Can-am atv has EPS, and i love it.

My buddy bought a used Can Am 2012 and is now looking to get a 2013 with power steering. He said after a long day of tight trail riding it gets to be a work out. As much as these things cost I figured $500-$600 extra was well worth it. Plus I have bad tendonitis and it surely helps with that.

Look at it this way, you may not get it, and then could regret it, but if you go ahead and get it, you'll never regret getting it.

Save the money and put it on Extra's There is not any real diffrence. My kids,wife, and friends think it's great
