Hello everyone, new Viking VI owner and new to the forum.

Has anyone removed the exhaust tip and turned it 90 degrees so its pointing outward instead of down? I'm concerned with the hot exhaust possibly starting a fire... I don't really want to cut the tip or replace it because i have a 4 year ext warranty..

I cut the tip to help reduce back pressure as well as to angle the tip at 45 degrees vs 90 because the exhaust pressure was kicking up dust with it angled at 90 degrees and the sound wasn't as loud with it at 45 degrees vs the original 90 degrees (as heard from the driver's seat)

There is a spark arrestor already installed to prevent fires, so I wouldn't worry about that aspect.

Thanks for the pics, I tried to turn the whole end cap 90 degrees but it just pounds against the inside of the bed. I will be cutting it just like you did
