We developed a slip-on exhaust system for the Yamaha Viking that's available in our stainless Swamp and Swamp XL Series. We were able shed 2-3 lbs from the 11.5 lb stock system, while keep sound levels very close to stock with the Swamp series. This slip-on system adds more durability and security to the Viking and is a true performance enhancing system.

I had mine put on at the dealership I bought it at. It defiantly cut down the inside noise along with the dust. Somebody on the forum can probably tell you a part # but I'd just call the yamaha dealership.

It goes from under the seats and behind the seats and flushes with the bed. I let the dealership put it in. He didnt charge labor because I had bought mine from him before they had came out with that piece. Before it was installed anything over 15mph you had to yell to the person riding with you and would have to have stereo turned up. Now everything is normal and not so much of a headache.

Silent Knight makes an add on muffler. It is about $200 with the extra parts to install. It only results in about a 3 db reduction at an idle, but at cruising speeds, it is much more, as you can hold a normal conversation, it the windshield is up. I also added a piece of 1/4" anti-fatigue mat, across the frame, where the bed and cab meet, that prevents engine noise from coming back up between the cab and bed.
