Hello. My first post here. I bought a 2014 Viking from Babbitts (dealership in Muskegan, Michigan) last week and unveiled it to the kids yesterday for Christmas. Mostly for driving around the house and on the narrow, private dirt road we live on.

I think we will all really enjoy this UTV but the wife says its too loud, which I see a topic on this forum, so I plan to buy the noise reduction kit. Kid's were getting cold so I will be getting a windshield as well. Looks like tons of Viking accessories we can spend money on, lots of helpful information on this site, and a good group of people here!

Ask your dealer about getting the sound reduction kit paid for my Yamaha.... I asked mine and told them the 2015 was going to be equipped with the kit from the factory.... My sales guy gave it to me free of charge... Just a suggestion.

Hello! Update: The dealer where I got the Viking from (Muskegon, Mi) was very willing to reduce costs for a new roof and the sound dampening kit. Unfortunately, they are 3 hours from me and the shipping costs would have eaten up most of the savings due to the size of the roof package. The local dealer would not give me the dampening kit for free but I did ask, and then bought parts regardless.

Anyway, I am really enjoying this Viking, and installed a new Yamaha roof, an EMP windshield, and the sound dampening kit. The windshield really cuts down on the wind chill factor and the dampening kit makes a difference! The machine is still loud though, and I am thinking of getting a sound canceling exhaust add on. Which Hush Puppy muffler are most of you buying and modifying to fit?

Pulling the kids behind me on a sled, I see I will want to buy mirrors as well - inside or external or both!

Thanks guys. The Bentz Silent rider is made in America which is a plus. Looks like they have one for the Viking and it is $199 on Amazon. Has anyone compared one with a Hush Puppy?
