Quick question and I appoligize if this topis has been covered by a previous thread that I didn't see...

I am looking for good mud tires, light weight, reasoable cost. I do plan to lift 2 inches but I do not plan on getting the sheave for better performance with big tires. What do you guys reccomend?
I don't want to lose too much power by going too big. I'd like to hear some of your tire sizes and performance stories and how big is too big without performance mods?

Thanks in advance!

Since you want a light weight mud tire and dont plan on a clutch kit id have to say the maxxis zilla is the tire your looking for. And i wouldnt go any larger than 28in.

OK, my buddy is telling me I will regret not going bigger on the tires and I do plan on hitting mud often, so I have a few questions...
1. Has anyone used 32inch Terminators? Can I fit them on my Viking with just a 2 inch lift?
2. Will this setup create issues with my axles, cv joints and suspension, without further modifications?
3. What is the largest I should go without screwing up/with my suspension with and without a clutch kit? I don't want it to be slugish...
4. If I get a clutch kit which one should I get for this setup?

I may go 30 if the 32s will be too rough on my stock machine suspension plus 2 inch lift.

Thanks for the lead, that thing is sick! I think I am going to go with the 30inch zillas and a 2 inch lift. I just can't justify the extra weight of the terminators.

Yes, I went with the 3 inch, waiting for my JBS kit and 30 inch CST Wild Thangs, anyone heard anything about these tires? I couldnt get zillas till March so I went with their cousins.

I'd would run 2in lift an 29.5 terminators they are the smoothest tire u will find an pull awesome in mud or trail riding . Most mud tires bounce when u start goin these don't feels like factory on it . They clean out nice an pull good , just my opinion tho . My good friend owns catvos here in louisiana an I see guys buy ever tire an then I see which tires do on the rides . An they always comeback an get terms

I didn't like the weight or the price of the terms but you're probably right. I may eat my words and another partial paycheck!

Well, the zillas are sold out everywhere and i'm glad they are! I had some wild thangs ordered last Friday but called this morning to change my order. I went with the 30 inch Monster Mayhems, after watching several videos and reading every review on the Internet I believe this is the best tire for me and the best midweight tire on the market. I should have them on Thursday and will upload pics.

I think your going to like the mayhems.they look awesome and dig in the mud great. Like you i went with all the positive reviews i read. I was disappointd at first because they didnt get traction on hardpack trails but after some wear on the tires they grip alot better. and i hear it keeps getting better. They run great on pavement too. They do rob the viking of some power but thats what a jbs sheeve is for.
