should this happen to you/ Symptom; oil case internal air pressure pushes dip stick out of case.losing oil and may cause ceased engine. the Problem : water vapours freezes in the breather line connected from head to air box, this blockage can be avoided!
To fix this, find the oil breather located near the head of the motor, this breather line is connected to the air box, splice in a tee pipe the same diameter(nearest the cylinder head) and add a small K&N breather on the branch of that tee. this modification eliminates freeze -ups whereby allowing the hot vapors to disperse. a slight smell of oil vapor will be recognized but is normal and is the sign of the oil breather working.. Remove in spring if you want!
