Any ideas on how to get better radio reception with this system. Works fine out in the open but when I go deep in the woods it fades in and out bad. Has anybody used a aftermarket antenna other then the small antenna wire that comes with it?

Do you have a roof? I do, and the reception is terrible. I keep my I pod in mine, never listen to the radio

Mine works great, but I don't believe I have tried it at the deer lease yet. I mostly use my Bluetooth anyway

Yea I have a roof and have the factory antenna wire running down by back left roll cage bar. Hopefully there's a way to hook up a mast antenna or something to it.

I've got a roof, Yamaha/ssv overheard radio, and the reception does suck, but dont matter, i keep my iPod in mine all the time.

Mine gets pretty good reception, but I've only tried it on one station. I use my blue tooth on my phone 99.9% of the time.

sure, even with the Yoshi you can hear it with no problem

SSV radio reception SUCKS.....I took mine apart and don't see anyway to add a mast antenna.

If it's the same Yamaha accessory SSV radio that guys are putting in the Wolverines, there is an option to add an antenna.
