I have seen several threads on different forums of people changing out their stock bulbs for a HID bulb. Downside is they draw a lot of power. The factory bulb is a H4/9003 and so I did some searching and I found these. https://www.superbrightleds.com/search/led-products/9003 led/ Has anyone tried this? Looks like it might be worth a shot, 380 Lumens and only 4.8 Watts!!

.....and nothing! hahaha! Well I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the bulbs. For only $30 it's worth a try.

Rob, let me know how they work. I dont care about hi/low option. if they work good and are bright i wouldnt mind having them

Will do! I'm the same way, if they are brighter than the factory lights on high, then I'm good with them.

They shipped yesterday so I should have them in time for install this weekend. I'll just do one side and take lots of pics. If nothing else it will be a fun little experiment.

Rob what s the update and review on the HID Bulbs? I am looking at HID factory conversion light kit 5000k on e bay from Burkelites. My bad got my answer on the Green Machine Thread.

jb, I used LED instead of HID. We already know the HID's will work, but they are battery suckers. I posted pics in my build thread:

They do not project like the factory or HID bulbs, but I have that covered with the other lights. So for under $30 shipped, 1/3 less watts, less than one beer install time and no more yellow lights, it was worth it to me!

Were these bulbs a direct swap of did you have to modify them to make them work?

They are a direct replacement.
