anyone have one and does it hold back? all i have is hills here and i want to load machine with wood and small trailer as well need some info: thanks
Yes it will help hold back, within reason, just make sure you have it in low range, and also full lock 4 wheel drive, l load up my viking and the little trailer i use behind it all the time with no problems, just gotta use common sense

its gonna depend how heavy the trailer is
its only 4-1/2 x6 light weight trailer it will haul about half shortbed truck load of wood i built it , my atv suzuki ltf 500 handles is well loaded with firewood . i was wondering how viking would do with wood in bed and trailer loaded as far as holding back on steeper ground thanks

is their a better set brake pads for heavy loads ? it may be fine just wondering .

I haven't had a problem with the factory brakes, load everything up and just plan on going down slow, between engine braking and light use of the brakes you will be fine

this is a picture of mine, trailer has a payload rating of 1250 pds, plus 600 pds on the viking and that adds up to 1850 pds payload, the way the viking is setup, if you have it in full lock 4 wheel drive, low range, it holds better then just low range only
