I removed the driver seat to look how the factory Yamaha under seat storage is installed. The factory install (looks like a small bottle) looks very small and has bad reviews about the small hole to load it. The area under the seat is huge, and looks like a much larger storage area is possible. I have searched the internet until I'm blue in the face, and no results. Surely someone has come up with a great idea?

Sorry, no alternative here, but I did the install of the factory "bottle". Installing this on the Viking is much easier than on the Wolverine, but still a little bit of a pita. The instructions leave something to be desired; one should remove the center seat base to gain a bit more room and the bolt holes for the small bracket on the passenger side of the frame are not threaded in my case (and the bolts were not self-tapping in my case).
Step 11 should be done after Step 1.
Step 9 should be done before Step 8.
Step 12 can be done at just ab out anytime, but was easier for mr to do before installing the bottle under the seat.

Hope this helps someone.
