Wokie II - Our Trips and Tales

I'm going to use the thread to keep track of my trips and share any modifications that I may perform on the machine known as Wokie II.

I bought Woke on Friday the 21st of 2014.....She's a 2014 with EPS in Camo.

Overall, my first impressions are great. I love everything about it, except the noise, lol. It's pretty loud. I'll be ordering the sound damping kit pretty soon, otherwise, she performed great.

Hope you guys enjoy my trip reports and if you decide to follow m thread, :cheers.

Our maiden voyage was a two day camping trip up to Williams Hill near San Ardo in California. Nothing special, small BLM area with a few trials but its mostly used to shot skeet and target shot.

Headed up there with a few friends.....did some minor trail riding but mostly used Wokie to snag wood and haul firearms/ammo. It got a bit chilly and windy but overall, the weather was great.

Saturday morning, fueling up and grabbing last minute items

snapped a picture right before we reached the campsite

Quick update:

Just ordered my fixed windshield and rear Yamaha window. I called in to order the dampening kit as well, but...my sales rep said he would get Yamaha to pay for it, so I ended up getting a free dampening kit, lol. My cargo box should be here soon, and I'm also looking into getting my bed rhino lined along with the floor boards.
Sounds like you have a good rep.
Ya you have a great dealer for sure.
That is awesome. Now u need to get them to install it all for free.
Lol, even if they did offer to install it for free, I'd opt to do it my self.... I never miss an opportunity to get to know my machines a bit more.

:werd: the dealer has definetly treated me well and with respect. Sales guy is definetly cool.
Went out to Pozo, Ca with the wife today. Had a blast riding some of the black diamond trails. Damn thing cllimbs like a mountain goat. Hit my 10 hours as well, picking up some oil tomorrow to perform the break in service.

My brother also gave me my early Christmas present:

Canada's a lot closer, come on up! We'd love to have ya.

Restrictions suck but there's definetly a boat load of land to ride.

Wow! If you get tired of all the work you can send me the tool box and rear bumper. I'll put them on mine and send some pics.
LOL, I'm hoping most of that stuff shows up this week as we just started getting a steady flow of rain and I have nothing to do after work......so a few rainy garage days would be great.

I'd love to send them to 'ya but shipping you know, that'll hit the married man pocket book, lol.

I performed my first service today (12hrs on the clock)....didn't do the air filter as it was clean. I'll be doing the valve clearance check at 20hrs. Servicing the Viking has proven to be easy and painless. I ended up buying a bottle pump to pump the gear oil into the diffs so that made that job a ton easier. Oil was pretty clean, the front diff seemed to be the dirtiest and it also seemed like my diffs were low on oil. Overall, very easy and simple.

Also wrapped my exhaust to help protect the final drive a bit.

I also have a 6" LED bar on order to use as a back up light.... I found which two wires to use from the factory plug so that the light bar will turn on when reverse is selected.

I'll update later.

Well, today was spent tinkering with the Viking.

I picked up the windshield, sound dampening kit, tool box, and 'Merica on Friday....still waiting on the back window.

Installed new Kolpin wind shield:

New sound dampening kit:

Removed and sprayed the bed with Rustoluems bed "liner" spray...I've used this on other items (bumpers, tire carriers, etc) and its held up great.

....and "hoisted" 'Merica

I'll be picking up my new trailer tomorrw as well.....I'll post up a pic once I get it home.
