Flowmaster used to make this HushPower Silencer for the Rzr, and other atv's & SxS, i dont think they do anymore, but take scroll down this page, and check out the link below, scroll down to the Video, it makes a huge diffrence i think, should be the same for the Viking, if we can get enough people to contact Flowmaster to make one for The Viking.

Hushpower silencers now available for Polaris RZR - UTV Weekly : UTV Weekly

Please contact Nick at Flowmaster and let him know your interested in one for the Viking, more the better!!!

I like everything about the Viking except for the annoying squeaky brakes and the exhaust noise. You almost have to yell at the person in the other seat to communicate. When I saw the stereo system they make for the Viking it actually made me laugh. It must be superloud to drown out the thumper roar or it can only be used when you're not actuall running the motor. Maybe I'm just too old and need to put on
good ear protection and forget about it. If another muffler was out there and did the job without robbing power I would
definitely be interested.
I know what ya mean, when we go riding in the Viking, we have to scream at each other to talk. I dont like that, hopefully, we can get enough folks to email Flowmaster and we get them for the Viking.
I have never had a problem with squeaky brakes on my viking but it was a constant problem with my rhino, now as far as exhaust I don't want to silence it I'm waiting for HMF or Someone to make a performance exhaust
We've got several members over on the other site that have sent emails. Need all we can get
Viking Noise Concerns... and the source

There are several, legitimate concerns regarding the noise of the new Viking. In summary, from my personal research as well as following several lines of thought and experience on the topic I have concluded the following:

1. the stock metal bed acts as a large resonating "speaker" for all engine and drive train noise below it.

2. The decibal actually coming from the exhaust pipe and thus contributing to the perceived "noise of the Viking" is minimal by comparison.

3. The engine and drive train noise coming up between the bed and back-of-cab area is significant and can be reduced with a shield of some sort - preferably high quality sound absorbing material, waterproof of course between the bed and cab area as well as a "top of engine shield or wrap"

4. the bed tilting hardware, seat belt restraint buckles at the roll cage and aluminum under bed heat reflective plates are all contributing sources of "noise resonating sources"

Just my observations

Oh and one other significant area I failed to mention that really helped on my application: both under seat areas. The tank side as well as the tool side under the driver. Big resonators...

BTW, all of this is such an easy & inexpensive repair - so many of you have great solutions, are very creative and should be on the factory design team. Thank you for all of your input on so many topics to make the Viking a better experieince
Contact Nick anyways, tell him you want this.
I will send Flowmaster an email as I will need a quieter Viking to ride around with my Grandson!
I wear ear plugs, makes it a lot nicer
I don,t think all that noise is coming fromt the exhaust, I believe is just a loud engine & drivetrane that is 24 inches behine you with nothing to insulate the noise. Im thing of cutting 1/2 plywood attaching to the roll bar. I hope it helps, at 25 MPH I can,t talk to the person next to me.
There's 2 members over on the other Viking site, and they've installed the Hushpower, and love it.

I cant talk to people riding either unless we lean over and hollar at them. I wear ear plugs most of the time, makes for alot more of a peaceful ride.
